The Full Story
About
I'm Andrei Mihalache - wedding photographer, painter, storyteller.
More than a photographer
Originally from Romania, I’ve spent the past 15+ years living and working across the globe before finally calling Puerto Vallarta home. Photography has taken me from luxury weddings in Mexico and the Caribbean to intimate celebrations in Europe, China, and the United States. Each journey has shaped not only my craft but the way I see the world: every wedding is a story, and my role is to preserve it with honesty, refinement, and care.
With a background in fine art and hospitality, I approach photography as more than documentation - it is a deeply personal narrative. I strive to capture the light, emotion, and fleeting details that transform a moment into a lasting memory. Beyond the lens, my paintings often explore themes of memory, time, and transformation, and I draw creative energy from classical music, philosophy, pop culture, and the poetry of daily life.
Vision
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll often find me horseback riding in showjumping arenas, hiking through hidden waterfalls along the Pacific coast, or cooking for friends, or painting - I make some of the paint I use from ash, stretch my canvases, and build my easels and stretchers. These passions remind me to slow down, notice details, perfect my craft as much as possible, and connect deeply - the same values I carry into my photographic work.
At the heart of it all is family, which continually grounds me in the importance of love, what I hope will be my legacy, and the beauty of what photography and painting can preserve.
Whether your celebration is on the golden shores of Sayulita, the cliffs of Riviera Nayarit, or a private villa in Mismaloya, I would be honored to capture your day in a way that feels timeless, personal, and unforgettable.
